Christmas Ornament Challenge 2026 Week Four: The Weathervane Pattern

It's Week #4! This week, we're making....

The Weathervane Pattern.

Okay, so people get a little intimidated by this one. It looks complicated.

It's not! The layers are simple, and they build on each other to magically create this awesome Weathervane 'quilt block' design.

This one is fun to see come together. And the pattern even comes with a printable Fabric/Color Planner Sheet, to make creating your design even more creative.

(Oh, and the planner sheet is just one of the bonuses this pattern comes with. There are several variation videos, including the 'Snow Globe' center, like Kennedy did in her challenge ornament below, and the 'Pinwheel' center, like Tanya and Olivia did in theirs.)

Your challenge is.... to make your own Weathervane ornament using your 3 chosen fabrics.... you can arrange your fabrics like we have, or better yet, mix it up!

    Hi. I tried to use my coupon code that I received on 8-14-26 for $1 off any pattern. It said this was invalid. I wanted to order tthis weeks challenge pattern. Just checking. Is it because it’s already discount orice?

      Hi Barbara, you can definitely use your coupon code on sale patterns! The most common reason those codes don’t work is because you are missing the ‘OGmember -‘ before the individual code.
