Our Week 2 pattern is a favorite - a favorite, even though it's also one of the EASIEST patterns we've got!

The Starburst Pattern.

I love this pattern because it's simple, classic, and beautiful. (the varieties you can do with this one! Oh, and the pattern also includes a video tutorial for an awesome layered variation.)

(If you don't own this pattern, you can grab it HERE for a very special price for the next 2 days! Already own it? Access it HERE.)

In the main part of my eBook for this pattern, I show the pattern using just 2 different fabrics, but then afterwards, I explain how to create several different variations of the pattern using 3 colors/fabrics instead, which will be really helpful to you if you are doing this challenge!

AND... last year I added TWO VIDEOS to accompany this pattern. These two videos are located right on the pattern download page.

(I did one video tutorial for the pattern itself, and then a BONUS video showing you a 'Layered Starburst' variation)

The layers of my Starburst Ornament (above) are done like this:

  • Layer One: Color 1 (white glitter)
  • Layer Two: Color 3 (blush pink tonal)
  • Layer Three: Color 2 (light pink w/tiny floral)
  • Layer Four: Color 1 (white glitter)

Monica went with the Layered Starburst Variation.

And, Darlene went with the Classic Starburst Pattern:

Your turn!

Please get creative with your Starburst Ornament, and when you're done, I'd love for you to show me and the rest of the challengers! You can share it with me and the other Challengers on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #3. (Make sure you're on my email list!)

Happy Ornamenting!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses an 8-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... this one can either be done without lines, or you can draw your own.)

Again all so pretty. It’s amazing what a difference that extra layering makes on Monica’s ornament.

Stunning!! I found OG a week a go & I have made 2 ornaments, I am hooked!! If I could only figure out how to save my fingers. Using thimbles to push the pins in is difficult.
Would love any other ideas. Looking forward to being able to join one of the clubs!
