12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge Week 2: The Parasol Pattern

Ready for Week 2 of the Ornament Challenge? This week, we're doing the....

Parasol Pattern!

I chose the Parasol Pattern for our 2nd pattern, because it's easy to make, but the results are STUNNING. This is a great pattern for simply showing off your fabrics themselves. It was created last winter by my OG Club Designer, Monica. She originally designed the folding technique for the Ornament Girls Club March 2018 Kit... but we realized right away that this was a fold that would go far beyond just that one kit.

The Parasol Pattern takes this awesome (and easy) folding technique, and adapts it to a round ball (and Monica even shows how to adapt it for other foam shapes, such as hearts, in her tutorial eBook & Video combo).

If you don't yet own the Parasol Pattern, we are offering it for a very special price for the next 2 days, right HERE.

(Already own the Parasol Pattern? You can access it in your eBook Library.)

In the original pattern, Monica demonstrates this ornament with 2 fabrics (alternating them), but don't worry, this one is VERY easy to adapt to 3 fabrics. Just add your third fabric to the sequence! (And, I've got info on how many pieces you'll need to cut for 3 fabrics, right on the pattern download page.)

Remember, after you make this ornament, please share it with me on Instagram, using the hashtag #OrnamentGIrlsChallenge, and if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please be sure to share it in our private FB group.

(and if you're NOT an OG Club Member but would like to be, signups are happening RIGHT NOW for the Enchanted Pumpkin Kit!)

See you next week with Challenge Pattern #3!

Happy Ornament-ing!

these are awesome. I have made some like these before, really fun to do. I wish I lived closer to help you put the kits together, I like to do things like that. I don’t use my email.
