12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2025 Week Six: The Candy Star Pattern
|
This week marks the halfway point of our Challenge! And we're doing a fun one... |
The Candy Star Pattern. The original pattern has a 2-color design, but it's easy to add a 3rd color. The look completely changes by adding or taking away colors in each layer. And don't worry, because our pattern includes several bonus tutorials showing you how to do just that. If you do NOT have the Candy Star Pattern, you can get it right HERE for a very special price, this week only! (Already own it? Access it HERE. If you aren't sure if you own this pattern or not, simply click this link and see if you have access. Make sure you're logged in!) Cheri kept hers simple and used only 2 colors. But everyone on our team did theirs a little differently, so be sure to scroll down to see them and be inspired. |
Your turn! |

I am so sorry, I can’t figure out how to follow the three color border variation without the step by step instructions. I can’t figure out from the two color how to make it a three color without that step by step. I’m probably the one only one, but if I can’t figure it out, I won’t be able to do it. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them. Even with suggestions I might not be able to do it. I just love how pretty this is.
Hi Ginny, we did include a bonus video on the pattern workshop page for the third color boarder variation. This variation is done exactly the same as the main pattern for layer one and two. Taylor walks through the third layer step by step in that bonus video. If you need any help finding it, please let me know! I’m always happy to help out!
Oh my this one is so pretty! There’s so many beautiful examples. May I ask what the fabric is for the light green and mauve colored fabric. It’s gorgeous material! Thank you!
I’m so glad you love those fabrics Rhonda! Those are from Cheri’s ornaments. Both of those fabrics are from the ‘Just Rosy’ line by Smithsonian Institution for Marcus Fabrics.
The pink is Blush R650861D and the green is Olive R650861D
Do you have kits available. I’ve made a few of the basic pattern. I have difficulty picking colors. Thanks.
Hi Debbie, kits are a great way to get started! IF you are just getting going with The Ornament Girl, our Perfectly Pinned package has a lot of resources to help with your ornaments, you would also have the option to purchase a Welcome Kit. You can find that here: https://ornamentgirls.com/get/perfectly-pinned-oto/
When we do have kits in stock, you can also find those in our shop here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product-category/ornament-kits/
Can I get a phone number to order? Every time I use my credit card on line it gets hacked
Hi Sue, I am so sorry! We do not have a phone number for placing orders. We would be happy to help you place an order manually! You can reach out to us at staciann@theornamentgirl.com and we can help out with that for you.

Hi Debra, I am so sorry you weren’t seeing your pattern right away! I checked your account and it does look like there was a typo in your email address. We have fixed that now for you. Will you please let me know if you still cannot access your new pattern? I hope you love working on your Candy Star Pattern!
