12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2025 Week Six: The Candy Star Pattern

Your turn!

Your challenge is.... to make your own Candy Star ornament using your chosen fabrics.... you can arrange your fabrics like we have, or better yet, mix it up!

Remember, if you don't know how to make the Candy Star pattern, you can buy it at the special price for this week only!

Then, show me what you've got by posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #7.

Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time-based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses a 5-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... we have a video and template that shows you how to easily draw your own.)

I am so sorry, I can’t figure out how to follow the three color border variation without the step by step instructions. I can’t figure out from the two color how to make it a three color without that step by step. I’m probably the one only one, but if I can’t figure it out, I won’t be able to do it. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them. Even with suggestions I might not be able to do it. I just love how pretty this is.

Hi Ginny, we did include a bonus video on the pattern workshop page for the third color boarder variation. This variation is done exactly the same as the main pattern for layer one and two. Taylor walks through the third layer step by step in that bonus video. If you need any help finding it, please let me know! I’m always happy to help out!

Oh my this one is so pretty! There’s so many beautiful examples. May I ask what the fabric is for the light green and mauve colored fabric. It’s gorgeous material! Thank you!

I’m so glad you love those fabrics Rhonda! Those are from Cheri’s ornaments. Both of those fabrics are from the ‘Just Rosy’ line by Smithsonian Institution for Marcus Fabrics.
The pink is Blush R650861D and the green is Olive R650861D
