12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2021 Week 7: The Festive Fir Pattern

Wow, it's Week #7!

This week we're doing the Festive Fir Pattern.

The Festive Fir Pattern is an adorable little design from Darlene that you'll have to make and see for yourself just how cute it is, because my pictures never seem to do it justice.

I've made several of them, all very Christmas-y, so I was really looking forward to seeing it in my challenge fabrics, and I'm so thrilled with it!

Your turn!

Your challenge is.... to make your own Festive Fir Ornament using your 3 chosen fabrics.

Remember, if you don't know how to make the Festive Fir Pattern, you can get the pattern & video combo, right HERE.

Then, show me what you've got by posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #8.

Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses an 8-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... this one can either be done without lines, or you can draw your own.)

p.p.s. Here are Darlene & Tanya's Week #7 ornaments!

Why are Darlene’s pieces a different size? Do I cut 2×3 or 2×3½?

Hi Carol, Darlene originally called for the 3 1/2″ lengths just to be sure they were covered, but, the remake of the pattern Staci used of 2×3″ and that worked fine. Happy ornamenting!

Hi, can you give number of fabric pieces to cut when when using 2 different fabrics like the first ornament shown (the Dr. Suess one?). Thank you!

Hi Karen, Sarah used 8 of the black, 16 of the peppermint stripe + the band and the quantities listed in the pattern for the green for the tree part. I hope this helps? Have a great day and happy ornamenting!
