We’re at the halfway point: Week 6! The ornament pattern for this week is...

The North Star Pattern.

So, first though... I've noticed a few of you saying you feel behind. Let me reassures you a little if this is you.

Don't feel bad if you haven't made all five of the other Challenge ornaments yet! It's all meant to be fun, and you can catch up whenever you have time. (and, you don't even have to make them all. Even if you just make a few, then good for you! You'll have a few new ornaments to hang on your tree this year, or to give as gifts.) :)

With that being said, let's talk about the North Star Pattern. I hadn't made this one in a while, and I'm really ticked pink with how mine came out! (<--dorky pun intended).

This is one of those patterns that can look significantly different simply based on the arrangement of your fabrics. Take a look at my team's versions:

Monica did a double layer of gold, for an extra striking star design, and Darlene's center star really stands out because she alternated her other colors around it, leaving it as the only gold layer...

The North Star pattern is available at the special discount for the next 3 days, right HERE... and if you already own it, you can access it in your Pattern Library, HERE.

Your turn!

When you make this ornament, please don't forget to share it with me and the other Challengers! You can share it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #7. (Make sure you're on my email list!)

Happy Ornamenting!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses a 6-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... you can also draw your own. (We'll show you how!)

This is such a beautiful pattern. It’s going to be difficult to decide the order for my fabric. All 3 examples are lovely. A coloring page would be very handy for this one. Thanks for the inspiration ladies.

Gorgeous! Great talent and artistry. Ive gone to several of the usual stores today (4) and CaNNOT find 3 inch styrofoam balls !! I have found 2.8 and 3.2 nd 3.8 but no 3.0. Would the 2.8 ball be too small?? does it have to be exacrtly 3 inches?? Thank you. Janet T
