OG Live Challenge – Patriotic Pinning
Want to make 4 patriotic ornaments with me, LIVE?
Introducing the 'Patriotic Pinning' LIVE Challenge Event.
Join us, and we'll make 4 ornaments.... but unlike our usual annual challenges, we'll make these 4 ornaments together (via Livestream), one per week, for the next four weeks leading up to July 4th.

I've got the dates for each Livestream tentatively set for June 10, 17, 24, and July 1 (though please know this is subject to change as we are still working out the details).
If you want to join in, but can't make a Livestream, don't worry! You will also receive forever-access to the recordings.

What patterns will we be making?
We will make:
- Ohio Star
- Poppy
- Western Star
- Jubilee
We will be making these beautiful patterns in red, white, & blue, but you can use any fabrics you wish!
Are eBooks included?
No. But, we are making variations of these patterns, so there are differences between what we will be doing and what you would find in the eBooks.
You WILL be receiving an Info Sheet listing all the materials and fabric cuts/amounts you'll need for these variations, as well as a Cheat Sheet for each individual pattern.
(And no, you will NOT need to buy the eBooks to participate in this Challenge. We'll be walking you through every step of making each ornament on each Livestream, and you'll have access to the recordings for FOREVER.)
Will I be able to buy pre-lined Soft Foam Balls for this?
You certainly can! Find all our pre-marked Soft Foam right HERE. (For this challenge, you will need (1) 5-Lined Ball, (1) 6-Lined Ball, and (2) 8-Lined Balls.)
But, I'll also provide you pre-challenge videos specifically showing you how to mark your OWN 3" foam balls just for this challenge. And I promise it isn't hard at all! I'll take you through it step-by-step and get you all prepped for your Patriotically Pinned ornaments!
How much fabric will I need?
You will need approximately:
- just over 1/3 yard red fabric
- just under 1/2 yard white fabric
- just under 1/4 yard blue fabric
I have pre-recorded a video that walks you through cutting the pieces you'll need for all 4 ornaments at one time, so you'll be ready to go for all 4 Lives!
You'll receive immediate access to that video as soon as you purchase your ticket.
What if I miss a Livestream?
Not to worry! You'll get forever-access to all the recordings.
There will be a special page on our membership site where you'll be able to access the Info Sheets, Fabric Cutting Video, Ball-Marking Videos, recorded Livestreams... everything... for this Challenge.
Can I buy the recordings later?
You sure can. But, because I am hoping you will jump in with us LIVE, the price is lower now. (The price later will be $47.)
I don't live in the U.S., but I still want to participate! Can I?
Absolutely! You can totally make these four ornaments in YOUR country's flag colors.
No matter where you're tuning in from, we'd love to have you join us!

Hi Sue, I know the time difference can be challenging for the live challenges, but we do make sure that the live streams are recorded so you can have access to them at any time if you aren’t able to join us live. I hope you’ll be pinning along with us!

The live stream video will show you how to make the pattern step by step, but the challenge will not include the original pattern or eBook.

Hi Cath, the challenge went on sale today, but the lives streams won’t start until June 10th. I’m so sorry about any confusion!
I have all the E books so I wish there was a little extra for us who all ready have the collection.
It’s great that you have all of these eBooks, and I hope that the ornaments we’ve made inspire you! This challenge doesn’t include any ebooks. The ticket price for this challenge gets you into the exclusive live streams so you can pin along with all of the other Ornament Girls together, as well as some bonus items like the planning guides. If this doesn’t sound like a good fit for you, that is okay! We will keep sharing ideas and options so you can have the best time making your ornaments.

What fabrics were used in the western star ornament on this page (darker red, blue and tan)? I just love that one!
I’m happy to get you the info! Those fabrics are from the Marcus Fabrics Betsy’s Needlework collection. She is using Red Around Town, Beige Texture, and Navy Star Bright. They are so pretty!
