Welcome to my Ornament Girl Inspire Series!

These posts won't take you but a few seconds to read. Each one will simply contain an ornament picture meant to inspire you & give you some new ideas.

Today's ornament: a red & metallic gold Shooting Star Ornament.

Pattern Info: This ornament was made with the Shooting Star Pattern.

Materials Info: Made on a 3" Soft Foam ball, with a mix of fabric and ribbon together. The metallic gold is wired holiday ribbon, and the red & berry fabrics are by Moda (from the Gilded Greenery line).

I always like something in the center of this pattern when it's done, so here I added a simple gold bead cap.

Happy Ornament-ing!

I love making all of these ornaments and I have plenty of straight pins but where do I find the gold pins and what size should I get?

My health has not been well since February so you are keeping me busy even though they aren’t as beautiful as your ornaments.

Where do you get the lovely metallic fabrics? I searched your store, I have been on a jelly roll site, amazon, and I’m just not finding the glitzy fabrics! I like that look so much more than the country mouse look! Thanks. And you are so talented. Congratulations on creating such a unique business!

Follow up to my prior post… I see that this gold is wired ribbon. However I am asking a more general question, not specific to just this ornament. Thanks again!
