Handmade “New Home” ornaments

If you’ve been reading this blog awhile, you might remember me telling you about Astrid, who is a real estate agent, and her awesome Christmas gift idea for her clients.

Every year she sends me her cross stitching and has me make ornaments out of them for her.

Here are this year’s ornaments. Great idea, isn’t it?

You can duplicate this idea (plus tons more ideas!) using my “Snow Globe” quilted ornament pattern.

    Hi Staci,

Love your ornaments! Right now I’m trying to do the cross stitch ornaments with the Snow Globe tutorial. Do you do anything special to the cross stitch fabric to keep it from fraying? Thanks!

I made these years and years ago. I wish I still had the book but it’s long gone. lol I LOVE your stuff and would love to make these for the granddaughters.

The book is still available online. I have made a ton of these since 1989 when the book originally came out. Search folded star ornaments. I am now doing the cross stitch ornament but using OG background. I combine all great ideas.
