12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge Week 4: The Prairie Pinwheel Pattern

We're on Week FOUR of the 12 Weeks of Christmas Challenge, and the next ornament pattern is....

The Prairie Pinwheel!

The Prairie Pinwheel Pattern was designed by Darlene, the newest designer on the OG team. I'm excited to introduce you to her.. we've actually known each other for quite awhile now! The word 'Prairie' isn't for nothing... Darlene draws much of her inspiration from her life on a farm in Kansas!

This pretty pinwheel is quick and easy to make, but looks awesome!

For the ornament at the top of this email, I followed the color order in Darlene's pattern exactly, just substituting my own fabrics:

  • Fabric 1: Black
  • Fabric 2: White
  • Fabric 3: Black & White Print

But for the ornament below, I did something a little different...

I alternated black and white in one of the layers, and it created a really neat effect! (I added the specific info for how to do this on the download page for the Prairie Pinwheel Pattern.)

If you already own this pattern, you can access it HERE.

If not, you can get it for the next 2 days at a special sale price, right HERE.

I hope you love making this ornament! I'll see you next week with Challenge Pattern #5!

Happy Ornament-ing!
