I have tried to get the supply list and I keep running into obstacles. Especially where I have to identify particular items in small pictures like traffic lights or cars. I must be doing something wrong. It is frustrating because I am unable to make this very cute gift box ornament.

Hi Linda, I am so sorry you are having some trouble with the video playing! With YouTube, you are just streaming the video so you shouldn’t need to download it. You can also try playing the video directly from our website. You will just need to login to your Ornament Girls account and the Woven Gift Box will be in the pattern library. If you need any help accessing your account, please send us an email to staciann@theornamentgirl.com and we’ll be happy to help out!

Is there an ebook for this? I rarely am able to get the tutorials due to living deep in the woods, on a mountain with no cell towers within a 15-20 mile radius. To date I have never been able to view one unless I drive to town 25 miles away.

    • Sarah Cinocco on October 27, 2025 at 3:34 pm

Hi Linda, since this pattern is available for free, we do not have a full step by step eBook. I’m so sorry! We can send you an email with the printable supply list, but you will need some kind of internet connection to stream the video. I’m very sorry again about any inconvenience! If it turns out that this ornament doesn’t work for you for the challenge, you can also pick out a different pattern that you may already own so you can have a full set by the end.

        Hi Sarah,

Please send me a copy of the supply list. I seriously doubt I will be able to make it. I haven’t on any kit or pattern with just a tutorial.

I’m also curious if it’s possible to have the old format list of what’s contained in the kit and the link to the items. I haven’t seen it in years. In fact it was only when reorganizing my pattern binders from the clubs first days that I realized it no longer exists.

Sometimes change isn’t always a good thing.

Hi Linda, I will go ahead and send you an email copy of the PDF supply list that is included with the Woven Gift Box pattern. I understand and I am so sorry about any frustration. We defineitly try to offer a great mix of free and paid pattens, but those free patterns will not include a eBook because they do take a lot of time to put together. I also wanted to mention if you would prefer a pattern that DOES include an eBook, and might give you a similar look so your challenge ornaments reflect closer to what we are making, I would recommend the Checkered Gift Box or the Celebration pattern (which you already own). Both make a beautiful “gift” style ornament on a cube, but are one of our premium patterns so they include an eBook. I hope one of these options works for you. We absolutely want you to enjoy the challenge!

        Sarah,

I realize I can use any pattern I wish to replace any ornament at anytime. That defeats the whole idea and process of what the actual challenge is and how it’s suppose to work. I’d rather pay for a pattern I need that have it free to all but unusable to all.

I don’t remember seeing a supply list for the challenge, but I would love to get a copy! Is it posted somewhere?

How do I respond to any reply when I keep getting the ‘it looks like a duplicate reply’ when nothing could be farther from the truth?

  8. Donna Phelps on October 28, 2025 at 9:28 am

What a nice little ornament. I enjoyed making it using the free tutorial on YouTube. I decided to turn it on its side and making a hanging ornament which I will post on the OG Facebook page. Best wishes.

    • Sarah Cinocco on October 28, 2025 at 1:08 pm

Thank you so much Donna! We I am so glad you enjoyed making your ornament! I bet it looks simply adorable hanging!
