12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2024 Week 8: The Flurry Pattern

It's Week #8 already!

This week we're making...

The Flurry Pattern.

This one was introduced about 5 years ago. It's made up of a couple of our classic Ornament Girl folds, arranged in a pretty, snowflake-ish design. This one is perfect for solid, tonal, and textured fabrics! It's simple, and comes together quickly.

This pattern comes with a lot!

  • a full-length eBook
  • a full-length Video
  • A printable Shopping List & Fabric Cutting Reference
  • A BONUS video showing you a simple variation of the pattern, and...
  • a BONUS video discussing how to choose fabrics for the Flurry Pattern.

Your turn!

Your challenge is.... to make your own Flurry ornament using your 3 chosen fabrics.... you can arrange your fabrics like we have, or better yet, mix it up!

Remember, if you don't know how to make the Flurry pattern, you can buy it at the special price for this week only!

Then, show me what you've got by posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #9.

Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time-based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses a 6-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... this one can either be done without lines, or you can draw your own.)

p.p.s. Here are some of the OG Team's Week #8 ornaments:

Darlene's beautiful pink & gold Christmas Flurry, and her patriotic version:

Tanya's adorable Halloween and Christmas Flurry ornaments:

Kennedy's adorable vintage rose-themed Flurry:

Olivia's beautiful red & green holly Flurry:

Elizabeth's elegant red & gold Flurry:

And my Christmas-y Flurry ornament:

Look how different it can look when you arrange the fabrics differently.

In this case, I didn't love how my first half came out, so I changed around my layers for the second half.

This pattern comes with a BONUS video that discusses choosing fabrics for your ornament!

Side One...

Side Two...

The fabric amounts I used for Side Two are:

Cream Fabric:

Holly Fabric:

  • (24) 2 x 3: rectangles
  • (1) 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" band

I just joined the Christmas club and wondered if there is an extra discount when ordering from your shop if you are a member and how to get it.

      Hi Marie,
Your membership doesn’t provide a discount for our supply shop, but we do have a secret store that will let you purchase exclusive patterns as well as any extra kits we might have.

Please help! I have not received the #9 week challenge email yet. I’ve checked my spam and trash folders to make sure I didn’t inadvertently move it to one of them. Could you please resend that email? Thank you!

Hi Jennifer, I checked your account and it looks like you have unsubscribed from our emails. Would you like me to add you back to our email list?
