Our Week 2 pattern is a favorite - a favorite, even though it's also one of the EASIEST patterns we've got!

The Starburst Pattern.

I love this pattern because it's simple, classic, and beautiful. (the varieties you can do with this one! Oh, and guess what. I've got a new variation to show you this year, too!)

(If you don't own this pattern, you can grab it HERE for a very special price for the next 2 days! Already own it? Access it HERE.)

In the main part of my eBook for this pattern, I demonstrate the pattern using just 2 different fabrics, but then afterwards, I explain how to create several different variations of the pattern using 3 colors/fabrics instead, which will be really helpful to you if you are doing this challenge!

AND... although this is an older pattern, I spent this past weekend making TWO NEW VIDEOS to accompany this pattern.

(If you own this pattern, you'll find these two new videos are now on your Download Page!)

I did one video tutorial for the pattern itself, and then a BONUS video showing you a 'Layered Starburst' variation!

The layers of my Starburst Ornament are done like this:

  • Layer One: Color 1 (tiny floral)
  • Layer Two: Color 2 (red tonal)
  • Layer Three: Color 3 (larger floral)
  • Layer Four: Color 2 (red tonal)
  • Layer Five: Color 1 (tiny floral)

Please get creative with your Starburst Ornament, and when you're done, I'd love for you to show me and the rest of the challengers! You can share it with me on Instagram, using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge, and if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please be sure to share it in our private FB group.

Interesting that this looks so much like Becky Minemier’s Celtic Knot pattern. The trim sections are just a little bit wider… Very pretty though! Love the fabrics!

Becky did not create the Celtic Knot pattern.

I respectfully disagree. It is a matter of integrity and I and many nk others will alwaysngive bbn her credit.

Carla, I agree 100% that it’s a matter of integrity.
