thank-you

Wow, guys. I just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone who took advantage of the moving sale I advertised last week. I told you all about my upcoming move, and how I thought maybe I could lighten up my packing load by holding an impromptu 40% off sale…. well, within about a day and a half, I had sold out of every single physical product on my website.

It took me all the way through the weekend to get everything shipped. I was most certainly not expecting that level of sales, and I thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for making this such a success (and you definitely lightened the packing for me!)

I try not to get too overly personal here on my site, but I know there are some of you who have been reading my blog for quite some time, and know that I lost my husband about 7 years ago, not long after I began my ornament business. And so, when I announced the sale and the fact that I was moving with my boyfriend to the Gulf Coast, I unexpectedly received tons of emails, wishing my kiddos and I well in this new chapter of our lives. I just don’t have words to describe how much that meant to me.

On another note, I also wanted to mention that were a couple of technical issues with my shopping cart system. The main thing that went wrong was that some of you who ordered patterns, were sent to a thank you page…. but there were no patterns. I am honestly not sure what went wrong there, and I’m still trying to work it out. The main reason I still haven’t found the cause is because this happened very intermittently. Most patterns were delivered just fine. Only some of them weren’t.

I know how frustrating that must be, especially when there are so many people out there these days who really do want to take your money and run! I promise that I am not one of those people. This little ornament biz is not only how I make my living, but it’s also my heart & soul. If you were one of the people who bought a pattern, and then did not receive it, please contact me right away, and I will personally MAKE SURE you get your pattern(s), along with my sincere apology for the trouble.

The other curve ball my shopping cart decided to throw at me was that it oversold some ornaments. I am guessing that was caused by several people attempting to buy at the same time. Rather than emailing those customers with the bad news that I no longer had that ornament available, I am making those extra orders as quickly as I can. To everyone it happened to, I’ve emailed you to let you know that’s why you haven’t received your ornament yet, and you’ll be getting it within a few days!

So that’s about it! And, oh! I do want to add that I know the ornaments and kits went SO fast, and I received a few not-so-happy emails from folks who wanted to buy one, but by the time they got here, everything was gone. I completely understand the frustration, and I am truly sorry! My plan for the next month is to get this move behind me (it’s next week!), and once I’m settled into my new workspace, I will be putting together a new collection of ornaments and kits to be released sometime in November. I will make sure to give you more details of the sale as I get it all nailed down. (Make sure you’re on my email list and following me on Facebook…. those are the 2 places I announce any news and sales.)

I can’t say it enough times: THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, and happy ornament-making! :)

staci, I am sorry I purchased your Christmas tree pattern and I thought I saved it to my computer. it’s not there. could you send it again. I don’t have a printer yet. I had a stroke a year ago and they suggested me to work on my projects that just use my hands. so I thought this would be an easy one so I bought it and lost it. I haven’t even sewn in a year and that is killing me. anything you can do would be appreciated thank you

Hi Karen…. I’ve just re-sent it. Will you let me know if you don’t see it in your inbox? And, thanks so much! :)
