I keep all my wine corks. Do you do that?

Here is some of my collection:

Ridiculous, huh? I swear it’s taken me years to collect this many… at least three (quarters of one).

What better way to use up some of them than to make ornaments! So I consulted Pinterest, and here are my favorite ideas that I really want to try out:

Thanks so much for featuring my DIY project on your blog! I found the inspiration for my wine cork rudolphs on Pinterest too and was so excited when I came across it because I am a wine cork collector like you. Unfortunately, the wine cork rudolph got torn into tiny pieces after my puppy decided it was going to be her new play toy. ;) Thanks for linking up to my post. Love the other ideas you have posted!

You are so welcome, Stephanie… this post was actually originally SEVEN wine cork ornament ideas, until I came across your Rudolph, and I just had to add him. Your pictures are beautiful, by the way. I’m sorry to hear about his untimely ending, but glad you were able to at least get his picture taken first! :D

I must pick wine corks in a clear glass. There is something shabby chic that is so appealing. Thanks for sharing these great ideas!

Wow, and I was just ready to toss out or give away two bags full that had been collected by me and at least two other friends for several years! New way to use them, PERFECT! Thanks so much!

Wow, I was about to toss out three large bag full of wine corks a couple of weeks ago, but decided to just put in a bin in my back porch. Now I am so glad I did not throw it away! I have seen a very large cork wreath on a restaurant wall but did not know how to put it together. Any suggestion?

I make the wreaths out of wine corks by using a straw wreath. I hot glue the corks on top of the straw wreath until it is as full as I want it.
