Probably one of the quickest & easiest ways you can dress up or personalize your quilted ornaments is to add a charm or two.

Most of the time, I simply create a “chain” from a couple of jumprings, add my charm to it, and then pin it right onto the top of my ornament (held on by the same pin that I used to add my bow).

That’s how I’ve added charms to each of these ornaments:

But, you could also create a dangle of charms (or beads, or both!) from below your ornament, too, like this:

For the ornament above, I sewed the beads and charms onto the fabric band, before wrapping the band around the ornament. (This ornament follows the Snow Globe pattern.)

So, where can you find some awesome charms, you ask? Here are a few places I’ve found them:

Joanns, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby
TwoPurplePandas.com
Bohemian Findings (on Etsy)

This is a fantastic idea !!! And, before you go to the store, search you home. I am sure you have broken jewelry pieces, earrings you no longer wear etc. Most of all have fun with it !

I admire you so much. I also think you have a gift of talent and share it from the heart . Mama always said the more you share the more you recieve. I love the all colored ornament. My favorite other than the red and green one. I haven’ t found red yet but maybe I will. Haven’ t. Figured what the gold is on the all colored one.
I am so proud for you. Also I am praying your stress level is better. I was a pleaser for many years then I decided if I was doing what God wanted me to do and I wasn’t mistreating anyone I would continue to do the best I can and could … I was not going to spend my days in tears and walk on ice any more. I am happy and much better most of the time.
You have a great guy you love, the kids, your family and more ornament girls that love you. And I am one of those girls. I am blessed and think you are awesome!

How did you learn to make these ornaments? Do you know where they originated from? I love them.
