I get asked all the time if sheer fabrics will work on folded fabric ornaments.
The biggest issue you’ll find when you use sheer fabrics, is covering the pins from the layer below. If you’re not careful, pins can sometimes show through sheer fabrics.
You can easily take care of this issue by either…
1. Using a solid fabric for your ‘accent’ color… This will ensure all pins are covered.
2. Use sheer fabrics with solid accents, like I did in the ornament above. The purple is sheer, but the little cats & stars are solid, and so they help cover any pins that might have otherwise shown through.
