cute quilted ball easter ornaments

Looking for a little inspiration for your Easter quilted ornament projects?

Here are a few no-sew ornaments & Easter eggs I’ve made this year and in the past. I hope these give you some ideas, and inspire your own new ones. :)

Turquoise, teals, and greens are my favorites. All of the fabrics in this ornament were different fat quarters that I put together really quickly while I was shopping for other fabrics. All of the subtle differences in colors and patterns ended up looking so cute together…. more so than I expected!

Quilted Easter Eggs

Here’s another one, using mostly the same fabrics, mixed with a few other scrap pieces that I already had:

For this next one, instead of starting at each end, and meeting somewhere near the middle of the egg shape, I started at one end, and kept going all the way to the other. (I show how to do it both of these ways in my quilted Easter Egg tutorial e-Book.)

Then, instead of using ribbon, I thought it would be fun to finish the end with sequins and beads. :)

And here’s a pink one, using just 2 different patterns of cotton fabric. These are simple and inexpensive calico prints that are available year-round at JoAnns. I added a strip of lace and some pearl-tipped pins around the middle to dress it up a bit.

Or, how about some tiny flowers for embellishing? :)

Easter Eggs aren’t the only quilted fabric projects you can do for Easter, though!

Here are a few of the quilted ball ornaments I’ve made for the season:

Jelly Beans (this is a Longaberger fabric…. sometimes you can find it on eBay)…

And, another Longaberger fabric I love… Easter Egg Hunt:

Some whimsical little bunnies. :)

And finally, I made these a looong time ago, and I just dug up the picture. Cute! (based off the Snow Globe pattern)

Linda, they are very fun to make. I have links in the article to the different tutorials I offer here on this site, if it helps. :)

These are beautiful! My question to you. Am I allowed to sell the ones I make?
    Thanks for your time.

Oh yes, absolutely! The only thing I have any sort of copyright on is my tutorial e-book itself. Other than that, these are based on an old-fashioned fabric folding technique that’s been around for ages, and anyone is certainly free to make them and sell them. (and they sell very well! I’ve been selling them online now for about 9 years. :) )

I can’t find the Easter egg pattern or directions to purchase. I also wanted to know where I can buy the Longaberger fabric like you used in your Easter things. Linda M.

Staci every ornament is beautiful. Wish I didn’t have to ask but how do you make the quilted ones that are stacked. I’m not to the point I would even attempt to make one on my on. That’s why I love your kits. I am going to finally post some pictures when I finish my four leaf clover. Getting better all the time, all thanks to you.

I have not had a chance to make an ornament yet, but your tutorial book is wonderful. The detailed instructions and photos are impressive, and it was well worth the money. I can’t wait to try making one. Thanks for sharing all your creations!

I liked to know how to do with ribbon on top of ornament. Do you have instruction or video to show how to do with ribbon. Thanks
