An Embroidered Cardinal| OG Inspire
Welcome to my Ornament Girl Inspire Series!
These posts will take you only a few seconds to read. Each one will simply contain an ornament picture meant to inspire you & give you some new ideas.
Today's ornament: An Embroidered Cardinal ornament.
Pattern Info: This ornament was made with two different patterns. I used a variation of the Snow Globe Pattern on the front, and the Starburst Pattern on the back.
Materials Info: Made on a Large Soft Foam "Hemi"(half-ball) using embroidery I did on my embroidery machine as the center piece.
(I've got a blog post RIGHT HERE explaining how to make custom embroidery pieces for your Snow Globe ornaments.)
The fabrics are from the Hearthside Holiday Line by Moda.
I added little berries and pine cones to the bow.(Yes, we have those) :)
Happy Ornament-ing!

I really like this! It’s so petty. Cardinals are my favorite bird. Do you have a pattern for the embroidery work you can share?
Is there more room on the oval foam shape to do a snow globe?
Hi Patricia, we’re so glad you like this ornament! The embroidery file can be found here: https://theornamentgirl.com/blog/embroidered-cardinal-pattern
This version is done on a Hemi foam shape, which will give you the most space to work with. I hope that helps!
