We're at the halfway point: Day 6! The ornament for today is made with...

The Windmill Pattern!

(Did you miss my last few posts and aren't sure what this is? Scroll down to the bottom of this post for an explanation.)

This pattern was created by Monica (Ornament Designer for the OG Club) last holiday season, and I thought it would be perfect to try with these patriotic fabrics. I arranged the sections (Monica explains the Blade & Filler sections in great detail in her eBook/video tutorial combo), so that some sections were red/white flag stripes, and the other sections were solid blue.

This pattern is slightly more advanced, but by that, I don't mean it is difficult - it is actually far easier than it looks! It just requires taking your time. I was nervous about making this one at first... and absolutely shocked by how perfect my ornament came out. The end result of this pattern is spectacular!

The Windmill pattern is available HERE, or if you already own it, you can access it from your Ornament Pattern Library, right HERE.)

I hope you are getting inspired by all of these ideas. I'll see you tomorrow with #6!

Happy Ornament-ing!

p.s. Did you miss yesterday's ornament? You can see it right here on my Instagram page (don't worry... you don't have to have an account to view the photos).

So what is this '12 Days of Patterns' thing?

A few days ago, I had a brainstorm: We have some fabrics leftover from our June Kit, and (now that I am moved and have a craft room again), I decided I wanted to try and make a bunch of different patterns out of those same 3 fabrics. There will be 12 different ornament patterns all together - all red, white, & blue!
