Why buy a tutorial e-Book from me?

My tutorial makes these Easter eggs a piece of cake, with tons of professional photos, and every single step clearly explained. There is nothing left for you to figure out on your own. Basically, I wrote it like I would have wanted to learn.

Even more importantly, you will learn how to make them perfectly, with an emphasis on straight lines and impeccable design (please take a quick peek through my gallery to see some examples). My instructions are chock full of my personal tips and hints for making your ornaments as absolutely beautiful as possible. You can see some of the great reviews my tutorials have received HERE.

You will feel like I am sitting right along side of you, explaining every step. :)

And, I explain things in a way that isn’t rigid… you’ll be able to take the techniques from these tutorials, and then very easily expand on them with your own creative ideas.

This is a bit off of the subject. Many years ago I made several pieces using folded fabric. They fit in large embroidery hoops. I would love to make more of these but can’t find my instructions. Would you or any of your followers have the instructions? Also I would like to have pattern for your Easter egg. I realize that my description is vague but hopefully someone will know what I am talking about.

Marilyn, if you type “Folded star pattern for embroidery hoop” in google, you’ll see a number of options for patterns.

  12. Jan Warner on February 25, 2014 at 9:57 pm

Good Morning, I recently purchase the Easter egg pattern and have made a few already. I was wondering if I could also follow that pattern for smaller styofoam eggs?

    • Staci Ann Lowry on February 26, 2014 at 9:19 pm

Hi Jan…yes, definitely. Just use fabric rectangles that are a little bit smaller. I would just cut a few of the rectangles to start, and that way you can play around and adjust the size as you figure out what works best.

      • Anonymous on February 27, 2014 at 8:54 pm

Thank you! I will try that! ??

It’s beautiful! I re-tweeted your picture; I hope that’s okay! Thank you for sharing. :)

      • cb on March 5, 2014 at 6:34 am

Thanks for the re-tweet! I will post more as I do them – I hope to do a full basket. One tip I can share – cut a small square from the same fabric that you start with and pin it under where you’ll be starting. That way none of the white Styrofoam will show if your folds leave a small gap. Also, my egg got rather fat from all the fabric folds. I started from the smaller end of the egg. I think next time I will begin at the larger, rounder end.

  14. Deborah A on March 7, 2014 at 2:29 pm

I just bought the big pattern bundle. I’m eager to get started but don’t have any styrofoam balls or eggs yet, plus I’m sure I don’t have enough pins for more than one. What is the most economical place to get them? I have tons of fabric scraps and I am looking forward to playing with them to find unique combinations.

    • Lea on January 10, 2015 at 10:34 pm

Check the dollar store for little pins. Years ago I could buy a plastic container of about 500 for a dollar.

  15. Sue Phillips on March 18, 2014 at 9:15 am

    • Staci Ann Lowry on January 8, 2015 at 9:47 am

Hi Vicky… thank you so much for ordering the pattern! Unfortunately for now, it is a download only. I”m looking into getting printed copies to have available, but as of yet haven’t found a viable option, since it’s a pretty picture-heavy tutorial. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, and if this changes, I’ll definitely let you know.

  19. Jacky Boyd on January 8, 2015 at 12:27 am

Hi I was whining last night cos I could not get the free ornament to work. I did finally figure it out.
*I have a new question today. When I pay you $10. for the quilted Easter egg, is it actually a pattern, or a download? Also if so how many pages????
*I ordered a Candy castle dress pattern a few months ago expecting a pattern to come in the mail . . . Oh not at all, To print it out took 127 pages for just one of the ‘patters’ I ordered and instructed to purchach tissue paper to trace the patterns onto. // Got to say I wasn’t happy. IF I know up front what to expect, . . . . you see? That’s all I ask.
    Sincerely
    Jacky

    • Staci Ann Lowry on January 8, 2015 at 9:45 am

Hi Jacky… I’m so glad you were able to get the free pattern. Did you see my reply on your other post?

I totally understand what you are saying. The Easter Egg pattern is digital only, and it IS a pretty long tutorial (48 pages), because it is picture-heavy (similar to the free Moonlight tutorial in that respect). A lot of people do print it out anyway, but it’s not a very printer-friendly tutorial. With that being said though, you really don’t HAVE to print it out, as there is nothing that needs to be transferred or traced or any of that. You could follow it right off of your computer screen or iPad or tablet. That is really how it was intended to be used. I took a LOT of pictures, and they are large, in order to make it super simple to follow and make.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions. :)

  28. Balencia on January 30, 2015 at 2:34 am

Although they are absolutely gorgeous, $10.00 is too much to pay for an e-Book (unless it is over 300 pages).

    • Staci Ann Lowry on February 4, 2015 at 6:37 am

Balencia, I certainly respect your opinion, and I thank you for the compliment! I tend to put a higher emphasis on quality of the book, rather than quantity of pages, though. :)

I will add that I’ve had numerous people tell me they initially tried cheaper tutorials, and then decided to buy mine after all….and that they were so glad they did. I’ve put a lot of love into each of my pattern eBooks, and I proudly stand by their high quality of instruction, photos, and ideas.

That would have been either a $13 or a $27 charge depending on which membership you joined. The pattern you ordered is a download and would have been sent by email. I would be more than happy to re-send if you need. It is a download in PDF form that you can save to your computer or print out if you’d prefer.
