Prices Rising
The time has come to do something that I've never done… I need to increase the price of our patterns.
I've been selling my patterns for $10 almost since I began selling patterns around 2012, but even though I hadn't increased the price, I've significantly increased what the patterns include over the years. Our patterns now include much more detailed eBooks, step-by-step video tutorials, and many bonus materials.
But before I say more… OG club members, your monthly Club price is not going up! I just want to make that clear so no one panics. Whatever you currently pay for the membership you are in, that is always going to remain the same… forever. You're grandfathered in.
What I am increasing the price on is our separately available digital patterns. This includes Classic and Artist Collection patterns in the OG shop, as well as the individually available past club patterns in the ‘OG Secret Store.’
Right now, our Classic and Artist Collection patterns are all $10 each, and past club patterns (members only) are $12. Beginning on August 1st, all Classic, Artist, and past Club patterns will be $14 each.
And so, now is a great time to collect any that you are missing before the price goes up!

Are Club Prices increasing?
Nope! If you are a CURRENT member, your monthly membership cost is NOT increasing. Whatever you pay now per month, will remain the same. You are grandfathered in.
Ornament Girls members will be receiving the BEST price on patterns... plus have access to additional resources such as the private Facebook Community, extra tips and tricks, and the secret store... and we are currently working on some new perks to add to your membership at no extra cost... stay tuned!
Why is the price rising so much?
Classic Pattern prices have not risen since I started selling them around 2012. However, the quality of our digital products and the cost of creating them have risen significantly! This price change reflects the increase in product quality and cost of goods to keep our business growing while still keeping prices as reasonable as possible for our customers.
Can you let us know which patterns will be used in the challenge so we can get them at the lower price?
This year’s sale price for each week’s challenge pattern will be $10. When shopping the 'Prices Rising' sale now, if you happen to not purchase a pattern that ends up being used in the challenge, you will still have the opportunity to purchase it during the challenge for $10.
Will you still run sales on new patterns and challenge patterns?
Yes! We still plan to run occasional sales for special events such as new pattern releases, the annual Christmas challenge, live challenges, etc. However, future sale prices are likely to be slightly higher than the current $10 per pattern price (and never lower than $10), so it is still a great idea to grab your favorite patterns now.
I really hate to be the one to do this but I guess I’ll have to say that I’m very disappointed, I’m going to have to stop buying patterns.i do not sell anything and only usually make one of 2 of the ornaments for myself or my kids. Already as is and by the time I buy the pattern and materials I’m $17 or more in on one ornament. With this price change that will make it $20 or more on one ornament. Your patterns are beautiful and they are very detailed. And I recognize the work that is put into them. But I’m not able to pay higher prices for the ornaments especially when I already don’t use all of the things included. The video is the only part of any pattern that I’ve used! Maybe you should offer different options for pattern buying, video, ebook, both and allow all versions to come with the alternative pattern designs in that format! Then you could keep your videos and alternative designs for that pattern at $10, yogi could keep your ebook and alternative designs for that pattern at $10, and sell the combo, for $14. Then those of us who don’t use everything don’t have to pay more for something that we already don’t use!
I am so sorry about any disappointment, and please know we didn’t make this change lightly. It sounds like you really enjoy making ornaments and we want to continue to offer the best patterns available. I do want to let you know that we plan to offer sales on our patterns so if you are looking for something new, we’ll be sure to let you know about those sales. And in the meantime, this price change won’t start until August 1st, so you do have a chance to get your favorite patterns at the current price. I also want to let you know that we will continue to offer freebies on our YouTube channel. We want to keep ornament-ing accessible for everyone and I hope we can continue to inspire you.

I’m so sorry for any confusion! Club exclusive patterns will remain exclusive to the club, but the price on those club exclusive patterns in the secret store is also going up. We are also currently working on some new perks to add to your membership at no extra cost. We’ll be sure to let you know!

I think that what you have outlined above and in the FAQs is more than fair. Truthfully, I’m surprised prices haven’t gone up before now. Certainly OG’s cannot expect you to operate at a loss. $14 is still quite reasonable for the astonishing amount of work in your patterns. Quilting patterns are a
approaching $15 per pattern, or more, and there is not nearly as much content. It’s a tough economy, but be fair, people.

Hello, I love making the ornaments .
My question is if I stop paying the monthly fee for a new pattern every month.
What it would happen with the patterns that I have purchase? Do I loose them or I still have the ability to keep making them.

Yes, you will also still have access to the videos. Your workshop pages will not change if you cancel your membership.
I am curious if you know of any place that sells boxes to fit these ornaments. Would like to make some for my family that lives out of state.

I have been a double member since you started these marvelous memberships. THANK YOU to you, and all of the designers for their great designs and advice over these past many years. I also think its about time to raise your prices. It is extreamly hard to keep a wonderful club as this, to complete with the low prices, yet stay current.
