12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2025 Week Ten: The Aurora Pattern

You guys, we're in the final stretch of our Challenge! It's Week #10, and we're making....

The Aurora Pattern.

It's our final 'out of the vault' pattern until next year's Challenge, and it's been 3 years since we saw this one.

Like many of our patterns, it looks intricate, but it's easier and quicker than it looks. The pattern is not only beautiful and quilty, but its unique folds give a lot of texture and fullness to the finished ornament.

WERE YOU A CLUB MEMBER IN NOVEMBER 2022? Do not purchase this. You automatically have access to this pattern in your Pattern Library!

If you do NOT have the Aurora Pattern, you can get it right HERE for a very special price, this week only!

(Already own it? Access it HERE. If you aren't sure if you own this pattern or not, simply click this link and see if you have access. Make sure you're logged in!)

Your turn!

Your challenge is.... to make your own Aurora ornament using your 3 chosen fabrics.... you can arrange your fabrics like we have, or better yet, mix it up!

Remember, if you don't know how to make the Aurora pattern, you can buy it at the special price for this week only!

Then, show me what you've got by posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #11.

Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time-based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses a 6-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... we have a video and template that shows you how to easily draw your own.)

p.p.s. Here are some of the OG Team's Week #10 ornaments:

Darlene's beautiful blue and white floral Aurora ornament is shown above!

Cheri's stunning pink & green Aurora, and her blue, tan, & black version:

Staci Ann, I didn’t see your strawberry themed Aurora?

It doesn’t look like we have photos for that one just yet. We’ll be sure to share it when we can! Happy Ornament-ing!

Just purchased this beautiful Aurora pattern. I had to google “Ornament Girl Challenge Week #10” because I never got an email for it on Monday. I thought that was weird, but I’m glad I googled. Can’t wait to make this pattern!

I’m so sorry you didn’t receive the email Trish! I hope you love working on your Aurora pattern!

    Do you take PayPal?

      Hi Brenda,
Thank you so much for reaching out. I am so sorry, but we do not accept PayPal as a payment option.

Hi. Where do you get your 3 inch straight pins? I ordered from The Bead Chest, and they are so soft and flimsy, I barely got it through the 2 balls. I didn’t see them for sale on your site. Thank you, Cherith
