12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2024 Week 3: The Trinity Knot Pattern

It's Week #3!

And up next, we've got the Trinity Knot Pattern...

The Trinity Knot Pattern is reminiscent of an ancient Celtic knot work design, featuring three beautifully interlocking segments.

This pattern is so unique, and comes together quick & easy!

This pattern requires dividing your foam ball into 3 sections, but here's a trick: you can use our 6 lined Soft Foam OR our 6-line Printable Template to make this easy.. simply skip every other line!

(If you don't own this pattern, you can grab it HERE for a very special price for the next 2 days! Already own it? Access it HERE.)

This is a great pattern for using your 3 Challenge fabrics.

(AND... something extra you get with this pattern: a video showing how to create it on a heart-shaped foam. Darlene did her patriotic ornament on a heart shape. Just an extra idea for this pattern!)

Your turn!

Your challenge is.... to make your own Trinity Knot ornament using your 3 chosen fabrics.... you can arrange your fabrics like we have, or better yet, mix it up!

Remember, if you don't know how to make the Trinity Knot pattern, you can learn it right HERE.

Then, show me what you've got by posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #4.

Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time-based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses a 6-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... this one can either be done without lines, or you can draw your own.)

p.p.s. Here are some of the OG Team's Week #3 ornaments:

Darlene's beautiful pink & gold Christmas Trinity Knot (her red, white, & blue ornament is above):

Tanya's elegant red & black Trinity Knot, and adorable Halloween version:

(By the way, Monica explains how to create stripes like this in a BONUS tips & tricks video that comes with this pattern.)

Kennedy's adorable vintage rose-themed Trinity Knot:

Elizabeth's elegant red and gold Trinity Knot:

Olivia's beautiful red & green holly Trinity Knot (she did stripes too!):

I really miss being a member of your site! I think, though, someone was whispering in my ear, telling me I needed to do that. I’ve had a rough year. Spent a week in the hospital in April with pneumonia that turned septic, then in June, the wind blew me around and up and down and I broke my hip. I was in the hospital for about 2 1/2 weeks with re-hab. When I got home I made several ornaments because I had given some I had away to family, who were over-joyed to get them. I have gone on the site to look at new ornaments, but I can’t seem to get to the site to buy new ornaments. Could you let me know if I am supposed to be able to get into that site? I know I could get there before I joined the ornament girls group, because I had bought several patterns before I joined the group. I’m probably not looking in the right places.
Thank You for all I learned from you,
    LaRae Peacock
