Handmade Christmas Carol Ornament Tutorial and Instructions

Except for my quilted ornaments, I’ve had more people ask for the instructions to make my Christmas Carol ornaments than any other ornaments I offer on my website.  It took me awhile to get this tutorial done, because these ornaments are…well, pretty involved to make. But finally, I have finished a 34 page tutorial for the “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” ornament (an ornament that I had the privilege of designing as a gift for Brenda Lee last year), and it is now available in my shop.

Though I wouldn’t say that this ornament is difficult to make…there are a lot of steps, and it involves several different crafting techniques…decoupage, fabric singing, very basic sewing, and even a few basic jewelry techniques. However, the results are stunning..and if you would like to make it, I can tell you that this tutorial is extremely complete.

Every single step is described in detail, and there are more than 50 close up, clear pictures. (If you have been following my blog or purchased any of my other tutorials, then you know how I am with pictures!) It contains a full supply list, including links when applicable to specific supplies I recommend, as well as a link to the site where you can purchase a download of the sheet music for “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” for $5.25. (It would be illegal for me to include printable sheet music in the tutorial, of course!) There are also 2 printable poinsettia templates included for making the fabric flowers at the top of the ornament.

What did I actually “get” for the $10.00 downloadable DIY? And how do I access it? I see all these beautiful ornaments and they say to pay $10.00 for the tutorials. Do I get anything for the $10.00 I already spent? This is really hard to understand, I don’t know if I would recommend this to anyone.

P.S. Doesn’t seem like I got anything for my $10.00.

Hi Sandra…I’ve emailed you twice following your payment, and I am afraid my emails might be getting blocked by a spam filter or something like that. Would you check and make sure that I’m not getting blocked? The first email was an automatic email right after you checked out which contained the PDF files (the pattern), and the second was in reply to your email letting me know you hadn’t received anything yet. I attached the pattern to that email and sent them again. I’m thinking that because my emails contained attached files, your spam blocker won’t allow them through.

I truly apologize for all the trouble… I would really like to get the pattern to you, and I’m sure you’ll be happy with it once I can figure out what is going on and get it to you…

I’m going to try emailing you again without attachments just to see if it gets to you…
