12 Weeks of Christmas Ornaments Challenge 2022 Week 6: The Pinwheel Pattern

Happy Halloween!

Our Week #6 Pattern is one that I originally created more than a decade ago.

The Pinwheel Pattern!

This one holds a special place in my heart. It was my first pattern that deviated quite a bit from the original quilted star look, and it was also the first one to use a fold other than the Basic Triangle fold. (I ended up naming this new fold, the 'Prism' fold).

Even though I originally created this pattern forever ago, a couple of years ago I updated it with a brand new (and easier to follow) video tutorial and eBook.

Not only that, but it also includes a Printable Cheat Sheet that shows at a glance, how to begin each half of the ball so that your two halves match up perfectly.... for both 2-Color and 3-Color Pinwheel Ornaments!

NOTE! Our July & November 2017 Ornament Girls Club patterns were Pinwheels, so if you were a member during either of those months, you already own this pattern! It is located in your Pattern Library.

Your turn!

When you make this ornament, please don't forget to share it with me and the other Challengers! You can share it on Instagram using the hashtag #OrnamentGirlsChallenge so we can all see it!

(And, if you're an Ornament Girls Club Member, please post it in our private FB group!)

I'll see ya in a week, with Challenge Pattern #7. (Make sure you're on my email list!)

Happy Ornamenting!

Staci Ann

p.s. If you bought your foam ahead of time based on the Supply List I gave you, this week uses an 6-Lined Ball. But, don't worry if you don't have a pre-lined ball... you can also draw your own. (We'll show you how!)

I have the first Pinwheel pattern (Patriotic Pinwheel) from July 2017 and there is no Printable Cheat Sheet included in that pattern. Was it not included in that pattern?

    Thank you!
    Teresa

      Hi Teresa,
The July 2017 pattern did not include the cheat sheet because it was designed to go with a kit. If you would like to have a copy of that cheat sheet, we would be happy to send it to you. Can you please send us an email to staciann@theornamentgirl.com if you would like a copy of that?
      Thanks and happy ornament-ing!

I sent the email. I also ordered the Pinwheel pattern from November 2017 earlier today.

        Thank you!

I have tried to contact you regarding not receiving the pattern. I accidentally ordered it twice and both the charges are pending on my credit card. Can this be resolved please? If I get charged and not get pattern can I get a credit?

Hi Cheryl, I’m so sorry if you haven’t seen our reply yet! I did want to let you know I have processed a refund for one of those purchases. You should see that reflected on your card within 5 days. Happy Ornament-ing!

How do I get the pattern or kit for the pineapple oranment. You showed it on the video on the pine cone

    • Sarah Cinocco on November 29, 2022 at 1:35 pm

Hi Faith, the Pineapple pattern was released as a part of our monthly ornament club subscription. The pattern is not available outside of the membership. I am so sorry about that! We would love to have you join us the next time we open for new members. If you would like some more information about The Ornament Girls Club, you can find out more here: https://ornamentgirls.club/ or leave me any questions you might have. We’re always happy to help!
