Purple & Black Kimekomi Ornament plus Hanger Idea

Welcome to my Ornament Girl Inspire Series!

These posts won't take you but a few seconds to read. Each one will simply contain an ornament picture meant to inspire you & give you some new ideas.

Today I've got another wedding ornament for you. (These really make such awesome gifts!)

This one is a purple & black Kimekomi Ornament.

Pattern Info: This ornament was made with the Elements Pattern.

Materials Info: Made on a 3" Soft Foam ball.

Monica made this from decorative fabric items (tableclothes, sashes, etc.) that were left over from her friend's wedding reception. She even used a piece of ribbon that was left over from the wedding decorations for the hanger.

The hanger hook was created with an upholstery pin (found in the sewing notions dept at Walmart) and a large flower-shaped bead cap.

What an awesome way to preserve these items that would otherwise probably end up in a box in the attic!

Happy Ornament-ing!

Stunning. A very thoughtful gift. It would be something that my daughter would appreciate for sure. I saved the leftovers from making my wedding dress and she wore it as a cocktail dress for her wedding. Her compliment colors were yellow and grey. This will be a lovely keepsake. Thank-you for the design.
