Why Blend In?

My deep down inner gaudiness (well, maybe not so deep down, haha) has come out in all its glory with this ornament! I must admit, the zebra print has pretty much made its way into every aspect of my house and wardrobe, so I just couldn’t resist trying something out with this satiny fabric when it jumped out at me during my last fabric hunting excursion. An entirely new design…alternating pieces of zebra fabric surround the ornament, accented with strips of black satin ribbon and rows of black and clear sparkling crystal beads. I topped off the ornament with semi sheer ribbon , black lace, and a red crystal bead to add a tiny, contrasting splash of color. This ornament took me quite awhile to finish, but the result was worth it…zebras may use their stripes to blend in, but this unique ornament certainly does not!
