YOUR ornaments…
This is a post that I have had in the works for a WHILE now. For the last few months, I have been emailing those of you who have purchased any of my quilted ornament tutorials, and asking you to please send me feedback letting me know what you thought of the tutorials, as well as send me photos, so that I could write a blog post showcasing your ornaments. Well, lots of you replied, and I’m SO happy about it! And the coolest thing about it, is that you gave me lots of creative new quilted ornament ideas to share here as well!
Here’s some of the feedback I’ve received on the tutorials (and some pictures are below, too):
“I must tell you that your tutorial was extremely helpful! So many little ways to save pins and material!! Thank you so much for your help! LOVE LOVE LOVE your ornaments!!!” -Robin
“Instructions were terrific and I made lots of ornaments. ”
“Thank you, Staci. I made a number of quilted ornaments as Christmas gifts and I am planning a few for baby gifts. Everyone loves them!! I will see if I can dig up my photos and send them to you. Your instructions were so good, very detailed and I had no problem following them. Excellent tutorial!” -Karen
“Hi Staci…Love the tutorial – only had to look at it a couple of times! ….I’ll send pics when they are done ( I am making a dozen to see how they go). Thanks for the great instructions!!” -Lee Anne
“Staci: I have made several ornaments and your instructions have been very helpful. I learned to do these ornaments the hard way!!! I just purchased your snow globe pattern a bit ago and can’t wait to try out your instructions! I will try to get some pictures to you – what you lack in math skills, I lack in photography skills….I wish I didn’t have to work. I’d be making ornaments all the time! Thanks for sharing and checking in. The exceptional customer service you provide is very rare!” -Amy
“Staci,
If I have any photos of the ones I made I will forward to you. I made them as Christmas gifts and they turned out great! Your tutorial was an easy step by step that was well worth your charge. I would get through a step then scroll down for the next one. I will be making more for Christmas this year too.” -Joni
“I have made so many of these ornaments and everyone loves them. I am going to be doing a craft show next month and have made 40 of them to take to the show. I have some other items I have made also, but these ornaments are so pretty and everyone of mine are different. I have used material and ribbon (the ribbons ones are easier because the 2″ is already measured), I will take some pics and send them to you of some of the ones I have made. Thank you and have a wonderful day.” -Nancy
“Hi Staci – I had great results with your pattern and have made several ornaments.” -Anne Marie
“Absolutely loved it! I will get you photos soon … mine look a little different as I use mine as more of a “memory” ornament. Instead of using the middle, I make an iron-on of a photo, put it on white fabric and quilt around it. I have had tons of compliments on them.” -Jackie
“It was very easy to follow and I’m getting better with each one. Thanks for checking in.” -Emily
“Staci, I have had NO trouble with the ornaments. I made several last year as gifts. Thanks for checking!” -Jan
“Hi Staci, I had no problem at all following the instructions in your tutorials. I have since made about 40 ornaments. I have also adapted the fabric measurements in your tutorials and have made 6 inch, 4 inch, and 2 1/2 inch ornaments, all of which turned out very nicely. I love your ornaments, and I hope to be able to purchase more of your ornament kits in the future. Thanks for making them available!” -Pat
“I went crazy and made a lot. The tutorial worked out perfectly for me. I did a little improvising on some of the ornaments and they all came out almost perfect. I gave them out as christmas gifts last year and they were a huge success.” -Suzan
Check out what Peggy did with one of her ornaments….since she made it as a gift, she used a fabric that actually said “to” and “from” printed right on it, like a gift tag…and she centered that part of the fabric on each side of her ornament to personalize it for her recipient. What a cute idea! (She said she got the fabric at JoAnn’s, if you are wondering.)
And here are some of the other photos she sent. She got creative and added a little shimmer to a few of them with rhinestones and sparkly trims.
This is from Charlotte. She wrote to me:
“I actually ‘created’ an ornament for my brother’s birthday last year. It has our high school mascot (pirate) and the year he graduated. I found the pirate in some clip art, designed the picture and then did an iron on transfer on white fabric. He was really pleased to have such a unique gift. I have attached a picture (I hope you can view it). I will be glad to share additional pictures as I make more ornaments.”
Awesome idea!
Mary wrote to me:
“I loved making these!! I’d be honored to have you post my pics. Be sure to notify us when you post them to your blog…I’d love to see everyone else’s too. Thanks again.” – Mary
And this is from Brittany:
“Hi Staci, My name is Brittany and I loved your tutorial! I attached a couple of pictures of the ornaments I made using your tutorial. Feel free to use them. Thanks!” – Brittany
“Hi, Staci, Here’s 2 pictures of the ornaments I made using your tutorial. My friends and family loved them! Thanks so much.” – Karen
“Hi Staci, The tutorials are very good. I am attaching two pictures of my christmas balls but I did a lot and gave them as christmas gifts to everyone, with great success by the way. I made them with silk ribbons. Warm regards from Uruguay.” – Maria
“Staci, The tutorial was wonderful and I loved making the ornaments! I have attached a pic of one that I made from your tut!” – Donna
“Hello Staci Ann…Attached are a couple of photos…The orange one was the first one I made, then the pink (added a few sequins for sparkle)…I have made quite a few ornaments from your tutorial, it is kind of addictive, once you get started. Thank you for the instructions, they were so easy to follow. If you ever post a tutorial for egg shapes or xmas trees (cones) let me know… ” -Billie
“Hi, I love the tutorial it is very easy to understand………I started making one and hoping to get it finished today. I love making Christmas ornaments…Christmas is my favorite holiday……I will try to get them finished quickly and send some pictures. I appreciate you contacting me that really means a lot. Thank You!!!!!” – Marian
“Attached are 2 of the ornaments I have done. I actually make enough to sell at our local Christmas bazaar in November. Last year, I sold 60 ornaments (sold out) and had 2 orders for a total of 40 more (22 of which were shipped to Norway). Thanks for the inspiration.” – Valerie
“I wish they were better photos, they turned out beautifully…. they were made out of a wire ribbon and fabric mix… Turned out beautifully as gifts for teachers. I also gave one as a gift swap, which received many oh’s and ah’s. Your tutorial is spot on and very easy to follow. By the second one, I put the tutorial down and was off and running on my own. I have friends always asking how I make them…. I will never tell.. haha. I just send them to your site.” – Paula
These photos are from Colleen, from Art and Cake. She made it in an “It’s A Boy” theme, and added beads in the centers and at the top…so cute!
And, these are from Lisa…she told me, “I made a couple but I didn’t follow the instructions, as they say to a “T”, but they came out nice, I gave some away for Christmas gifts.”
I think it came out great!
THANK YOU so much to all of you who took the time to send me these photos and feedback…I appreciate it SO much, and can’t even describe how glad I am when I hear that you enjoyed making these as much as I do. :)

Hey there, these are all beautiful, but Staci, yours are the best, keep making them. And thank you so much for posting the pics of mine!
Forgot to say, your tutorials are easy to follow, and you don’t skimp on details or photos of each step. If anyone thinks they can’t make them, they should get your tutorials and before they know it they’ll be making many of them and enjoying every one.
I appreciate that Peggy, thank you!

I wonder if I make and sell on the Ebay. if ok?
Absolutely!
These are beautiful ornaments. I want to try to make them, but after the holidays, as I don’t have the time now. Thanks for posting the pictures of those made by others as they are an inspiration to me. My daughter thinks I would not have any trouble making these, but sometimes I don’t have the patience, but I’m going to try. I’m so happy to view your website and I have it written down so I don’t forget.
Thank you Lois! These aren’t hard, I agree with your daughter that you would be able to make them! They are really not as difficult as they look at all. :)
