St. Patrick's Day isn't a holiday I've made tons<\/em> of ornaments for, but I do make at least one each year. It's hard to resist the green and gold fabrics, and a lot of the prints are just plain fun. <\/p>\n

Here are some of the ornaments I've done over the last few years (including this month's Kit of the Month, which I do have just a few more of, right HERE<\/a>). <\/p>\n

I hope these inspire you to make your own!<\/p>\n

This one is made from “Lots of Luck” fabric, by Longaberger. I LOVE this fabric. It has long been retired, but I try to snag some whenever I see it on eBay. <\/p>\n

Here I've paired it with solid forest green fabric to accent the dark green hints in the print. <\/p>\n

Here's one I made about 9 years ago! The ladybug fabric is actually sheer, but sheer fabrics can work if you use them with solids, to help hide the pins from the layers below.<\/p>\n

This ornament is made with the Japanese Kimekomi technique, which I originally learned from the book, “Fast, Fun, & Fabulous Fabric Handballs<\/a>“… you can then modify this technique to make ornaments! It's an awesome book<\/a>, and it includes the pattern I used to make this ornament (I also added a gold beaded hanger):<\/p>\n

And last but not least, a quilted ball with 3 different fabrics. (This is also this month's featured kit<\/a>.) I used green gingham and plaid fabrics to contrast the mini-shamrock fabric – my favorite St. Patty's Day ornament so far!<\/p>\n
