It seems like I've been making a lot of ‘Snow Globe' ornaments<\/a> lately (in fact, the Cardinal Snow Globe ornament above is our upcoming December ornament kit<\/a>), and so today, I'm rounding up a few ideas (new and old!) for you…. I hope these give\u00a0you some\u00a0inspiration\u00a0for your own ornaments<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Snow Globes are so fun because they let you showcase something on each side, like an event, date, birthday…. anything that's special to you.<\/p>\n

I personalized these ornaments\u00a0for a 1st birthday, with the name embroidered on the front, and birthday on the back…. so cute! (Here's a post that shows how I do the embroidery part<\/a>.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Custom Birthday Ornaments (Snow Globe pattern)<\/p><\/div>\n

Here is another embroidered\u00a0ornament… this time for a Baby's First Christmas. I actually made this one a few years back for a friend, and I used colors to match his crib bedding. Another idea is to use the actual bedding itself, once it's outgrown! Such a beautiful\u00a0way to hold on to the memory, and be reminded each year…. rather than holding onto it in storage, where it will rarely be looked at again!<\/span><\/p>\n

But, embroidery isn't the only thing you can showcase. How about cross-stitching?<\/p>\n

And of course, you can center a fabric picture (or even your own photos, printed onto\u00a0fabric) on your ornament. A few weeks ago, I shared\u00a0a picture of the USMC ornament<\/a> I'd done. Here is the US Navy version (don't worry… Air Force & Army to come, too!):<\/span><\/p>\n
