We’ve had a few questions come in since I announced the Mini Patriotic Ornament Challenge the other day. So, here are some answers for ya!<\/p>\n
Do I have to sign up for this?<\/strong><\/p>\n Nopers! It’s something you can choose to participate in (or not), you don’t need to carve anything into a stone tablet, you don’t have to commit to anything. You can even join us for just one or two of them if you want.<\/p>\n It’s just for fun! :)<\/p>\n Do I NEED to be on Instagram\/Facebook\/Any-Other-Social?<\/strong><\/p>\n Absolutely not! Only if you want to share your photos publicly. And you can even just email them to me if you want! My team and I love when you guys do.<\/p>\n Will there be a new challenge every month?<\/strong><\/p>\n I’d really like to do more Mini-Challenges like this. We do have other ideas in mind.<\/p>\n Also, we do still have our upcoming BIG Christmas Challenge starting in September.<\/p>\n How will this work?<\/strong><\/p>\n Each week, starting Monday, June 6th, I’ll send you an email telling you what that week’s challenge pattern<\/b> is, and I’ll show you photos of mine & my team’s, to hopefully inspire you and give you some ideas.<\/p>\n (Not on my email list yet? Joining my email list gets you a free video workshop!)<\/p>\n When you make each week’s ornament, you can share it with me (& all the other participants) on Instagram<\/a> using the hashtag\u00a0#OrnamentGirlsChallenge<\/b>\u00a0(and if you’re an OG club member, please also share in our private group!)<\/p>\n How much does it cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n You’ll have the cost of your supplies, and if you choose to buy any of the patterns that you may not already have.<\/p>\n What will you need?<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to make all 4 ornaments, you will need…<\/i><\/p>\n 1. About 1\/2 to 1 yard EACH of three different fabrics<\/b> (<\/i>this is an approximation – you may use slightly different amounts depending on how you arrange your fabrics on your own ornaments. You can get a little extra if you want to be on the safe side!)<\/i><\/p>\n ****I recommend 3 fabrics that contrast highly with each other.<\/u>****<\/b><\/p>\n 2. A LOT of straight pins. I would go ahead and buy yourself a nice big one pound box from\u00a0HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n 3. Foam: All 3″ round balls….<\/p>\n (Note: All of the lined-ball recommendations above can be drawn on by you! We are currently experiencing a foam shortage, and may not have our pre-lined foam available each week. We have all the resources to show you how to do this yourself.)<\/i><\/p>\n 4. Whatever embellishments you’d like to use for all 12 ornaments.<\/p>\n 5. Each week’s pattern.<\/p>\n What if I don’t yet own each week’s pattern?<\/strong><\/p>\n I don’t want to leave anyone out, so in order to make this as accessible as possible for\u00a0everyone<\/i> to make along with me, each week’s pattern will be available at a very special deal! The special price will be for one week, on that week’s pattern.<\/p>\n I<\/strong>‘ll send you a link to each week’s special deal when I send you your weekly challenge email. (So make sure you’re on my email list!)<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n Each week’s email will say ‘Ornament Challenge Week #’<\/b>\u00a0in the subject line so you can spot it easily!<\/p>\n (If you’ve never tried one of my patterns before…. they are FOOLPROOF. And many of them come with full-length videos, too. So, no worries.. you WILL be able to make these ornaments along with me. :) )<\/p>\n What if I get behind?<\/strong><\/p>\n Please don’t worry about that! I don’t want this to feel like a race or be stressful. It is just for fun. So, if you get behind, it’s totally okay. <\/b>In fact, the worst that can happen is you only make one or two ornaments… which would still be pretty wonderful, right?<\/p>\n\n
