If not, please feel free to contact me!

The top of your website says I can get a free pattern, but I don't see where. How do I get it?

You can get it by signing up for my email list, right HERE.

I'm trying to join the Ornament Girls Club, but it says “Sold Out”. How do I join?

I open up for new members every month on the 1st, at 12 Noon Eastern Time. At that time, you'll want to go HERE to join. I design and make all of the kits totally by hand, and so I am only able to let a limited number of new members join each month – so far the spots have gone pretty fast each month. If you do get through the payment process though, that means you're in!

If you don't make it in, I am sincerely sorry. I am not able to accept members after the spots have sold, or throughout the month, as much as I wish I could. I'm purchasing and planning for each kit very far in advance, which means I've got a set number of kits to send out each month.

I do plan for extra kits (so I can make sure I have enough to cover shipping mishaps, etc), and so once all members are taken care of each month, I will list any extras in my online shop.

Want more info on Ornament Girls? THIS PAGE has all the details.

Are these quilted ornament patterns really no-sew?

Yes! These ornaments are made entirely by folding and pinning tiny rectangles of fabric. You will not need needle, thread, or sewing machine, unless you would like to add your own sewn embellishments. However, I myself am not a big sewer. Almost every single ornament you'll see on this site from me does not have one sewn stitch on them. :)

I'm overwhelmed! Which pattern should I start with?

Every tutorial covers the steps from beginning to end, and you won't need to have already learned one in order to do another….. and so with that in mind, if there's a particular one you'd just love to try first, definitely go give it a whirl!

But, if you're still having a hard time deciding, I'd recommend trying the Quilted Ball Ornament tutorial first. It has the least amount of “layers” out of all the folded fabric projects, and in my opinion is the most versatile… once you make one, you'll be wanting to make them for every single holiday and occasion you can think of. :)

(By the way, you can see all of the patterns I have available right HERE.)

How much fabric does a quilted ball ornament take? And, can I use my fabric scraps?

A quilted ornament will take about a quarter yard of fabric all together. My basic quilted ball pattern uses two different fabrics, a main pattern, and an accent pattern, and you'll need about an eighth yard of each.

And, yes! They are an absolutely perfect way to use up your fabric scraps. Check out this blog post for more info and some super cute & inspiring ideas for utilizing your scrap stash!

What materials and supplies do you recommend for your patterns and for the other ornament projects here on the site?

I'm glad you asked! I've made a special page just for this. You can see it right HERE.

How long are your patterns?

Most of the patterns are about 40-50 pages long. That sounds like a lot, but it's because they are very picture-heavy, and that is what is taking up the most space (My tutorials ALL include very big, close-up, easy-to-follow photographs). A couple of the patterns are larger than that (such as the Pinwheel Pattern), but are broken into separate files, in order to keep them from being too cumbersome to download.

Why do I do it this way, even though the result is a very long tutorial? Because, it makes it SO simple to learn the techniques. You'll feel like I'm right there beside you, teaching you every step. (Here's some feedback I've received.) And, you'll be able to take your time, simply scrolling to the next step when you're ready.

I don't like to pay online. Do you accept checks?

I happily accept checks or money orders. I will email your patterns to you as soon as your payment has cleared. If you'd like to go that route, simply go through the checkout process as normal. You will be given the option to mail your payment.

May I sell the ornaments I make using your patterns?

Absolutely! The techniques for these folded fabric ornaments have been around for ages, and I claim no ownership over them. My tutorials and patterns will simply teach you my own methods that I've developed over the last 20 or so years, that will help you save materials, time, and frustration, AND help you perfect your own creations. :)

So, yes, I would love for you to start selling them! I have been selling them online for 10 years now, and they sell extremely well. In fact, they have supported my family. (If you're interested, you can read more about that right HERE.)

If you make any items using any of my original designs (and what I mean by that, is if you make an exact replica of an ornament I've made), I kindly ask that you give me credit for the design, with a link back to this website.

Under no circumstances are you allowed to share my patterns though, or post them anywhere online or offline, as these are protected copyrighted works. I appreciate your respect of my work!

(By the way, I DO offer an affiliate program, if you'd like to promote my patterns and earn 50% of the sale. You can read all about that right HERE.)

I've been trying to buy an ornament or kit, and every time I visit, they are sold out. How do I get one?

Ornaments and kits tend to go pretty fast, and I'm so sorry if you've been trying to get one and haven't been able to. I usually post pictures of any new ornaments (or kits) on Facebook, so I'd love for you to follow me there if you'd like to receive the updates. I also occasionally have a bigger collection of ornaments available, and if you'd like to make sure you don't miss those, I'd definitely recommend getting on my email list. :)

I also now have an Ornament Girls Club! This is how you can be guaranteed to receive my newest ornament kit every month (and at a lower price than in my shop, too!). You can find out more about becoming an Ornament Girl, right HERE.

How will my ornament be packaged?

Each ornament will come to you in a custom, foil-embossed, white gift box, so perfect for gift-giving (or keeping for yourself!). Each ornament is tagged with a tiny “OG” (ornament girl) charm, and includes a dated name card, signed by me.

Do you take custom orders?

Unfortunately, not anymore. I am just not able to fit them into my schedule any longer. I have good news though….you can make your own! (You can do it, I promise!) I have a tutorial which makes these ornaments easy-peasy. You can read about it right HERE.

I emailed you DAYS ago, and I haven't received a response. What's going on?

I am so sorry in advance if this happens. I get a TON of email every day, and it usually takes me a few hours a day to reply, even on Saturdays and Sundays. Sometimes I get a little behind, unfortunately, and I do also occasionally take a day or holiday off.

I do answer customer service questions and problems as soon as I see them. So, if you have not received a pattern, or if there is any other problem with your order, I will do my absolute best to reply as soon as I possibly can. Sometimes if I'm a little bit behind, and for the sake of getting some ornaments made, I will put other, non-customer service, emails a little further down the queue….. I TRULY apologize if it takes me a few days to get back to you. Every single email I receive is important to me, and I WILL respond, I promise.

(If you NEVER hear back from me, it could be because there was a typo in your email address when you filled out my contact form.
