Semper Fi Ornament

A couple of years back, I made this USMC ornament to honor my late husband, Jon, who was a Marine.

I was not expecting the response I got when I posted it on Facebook…. over 8,000 “likes” and counting! So awesome, thank you. :)

Under the bow, there are 2 little charms….. a yellow ribbon, and a star-shaped flag.

May, 2016 Update

Ever since last summer, I’ve been getting requests for a kit for this ornament, and the other military branches – but the problem is, the fabric has been out-of-print for a few years now, and it’s very hard to find.

So, guess what I’ve been doing for the last year? I’ve been collecting it from everywhere I could possibly find it. :)

In about 2 weeks, I will have 4 different “Military Snow Globe Series” kits (with eBook) available:

“Semper Fi” – USMC
“Honor, Courage, Commitment” – US Navy
“Integrity First” – US Air Force
“This We’ll Defend” – US Army

(If you’re interested in a kit to honor the Coast Guard, please know I have not forgotten you! I am still on the hunt for the perfect fabric for a Coast Guard ornament.)

I don’t know the exact day yet that these kits will be available, but…. they are on the way!

If you’re a do-it-yourself-er, these ornaments follow the Snow Globe Pattern, which you can get right HERE.

Here are the other branches:

Hi Staci I am writing because I would like to order a Navy ornament kit. I couldn’t find where I could do that. So if you could tell me how to go about ordering a kit I would appreciate it. I have been a loyal customer for sometime and really love your creativity. Your instructions are great. Easy for an senior citizen to follow. Love your things. Thank You Pat

Hi Pat! I am soo happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the ornament instructions!

I am so sorry to say that I don’t have a kit available for the Navy ornament just YET, but I do plan to have them as soon as I have enough fabric available. It’s a retired pattern, so I’ve had some difficulty finding more of it. I did just manage to find a little bit of it recently on eBay, and I’m waiting for it to arrive. If I have enough, I will definitely make up some kits!

Hi Staci, Where did you find the charms that you use on some of your ornaments.
I especially liked the ones you used on the military ones.

I made these last year for the veterans that are at a local nursing home. Each one had their military branch on them.

Hi Nikki, I’m so sorry but we don’t have the ornament nor does it look like we have the fabric for you to make your own. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
